Sustainability at NürnbergMesse
Sustainability icon of NürnbergMesse: Orange leaf with slogan Sustainability is our compass

NürnbergMesse, one of the world’s 15 largest exhibition companies, aims to step up to its responsibility and align its operations with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. So dealing conscientiously with resources, treating all people equally, and developing our Exhibition Centre sustainably are matters of course for us, and the foundation of our business decisions.

That means, for instance, that events at our Exhibition Centre are becoming more and more energy-efficient, and thus easier on the climate. So your event at our NürnbergConvention Centers will likewise be well positioned for sustainability.

“We didn’t have to start from scratch – we could take advantage of NürnbergMesse’s know-how.”
Janine Rolfsmeyer, Member of the Executive Board, German Protestant Church Assembly

Sustainable events

We work closely with our ServicePartners to constantly improve our services’ environmental footprint, and thus to help ensure your event comes off with the lowest possible consumption of resources and the most inclusive possible participation.

“Blue Angel” for events

The “Blue Angel” is one of the best-known and most prestigious eco-labels in Germany. It identifies products and services that stand out on account of their sustainability. As from 2025, organizers can also obtain “Blue Angel DE-UZ 236” certification for their events if all the conditions are satisfied. This is precisely where our exhibition venue meets the relevant criteria. These include our environmentally friendly travel options to and from our events, our energy-efficient buildings, 100% green electricity, sustainable catering and sophisticated waste management. Use this certification and the eco-label to promote your event.
