How to find us

Centrally located in the heart of Europe, NürnbergMesse and the NürnbergConvention Center can be reached quickly thanks to excellent transport connections – whether you’re coming from Nuremberg’s airport, its central railway station, via the Autobahn or from the city centre.

See below for an overview of all the details for the various travel options.

Arriving from the central railway station

Nuremberg Central Station is a major transport hub that connects regional, national and international lines at regular intervals. From the central station you can be at the Exhibition Center in about eight minutes – a quick and convenient journey on the metro. Take the U1 line towards Langwasser Süd.

Regional and long-distance rail

If you’re travelling to a trade show or congress, you’ll benefit from Nuremberg’s connection to the ICE network, with direct services to and from many national and international destinations.

Local public transport 

Just eight minutes with no transfers: The U1 metro line will take you from the central station directly to the “Messe” metro stop. The Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg (VGN) website provides all the information you need on public transport in Nuremberg.

Free travel by bus, rail and metro – valid to and from the airport and within all relevant parts of the city (Zone A) for 48 hours. There’s also a discount of up to 50% on selected activities and free entry to many museums and tourist attractions.

VGN KombiTicket

With the VGN KombiTicket your attendees can travel to and from your event very easily and comfortably using local public transport. Your event ticket also serves as a public transport ticket, either for price category A in Nuremberg, Fürth and Stein, or throughout the greater Nuremberg transport area.

By car

The Exhibition Center is easily accessible via the A3, A6, A9 and A73 motorways. The way to the exhibition venue is signposted from all directions. Our proven traffic guidance and parking system will always get you to the exhibition venue by the fastest route. 

Parking 

There are about 13,500 parking spaces in multi-storey car parks and outdoor parking areas directly on-site. Our proven parking control system enables us to respond dynamically to specific needs in the parking area based on the situation, which means we can handle parallel events with no problems.

E-mobility

We currently have more than 100 charging points (AC and DC) available in five separate if you’re arriving by electric vehicle. Another 120 charging points will be added by the end of the year. Find out more about the locations at the venue, as well as the options for charging your vehicle.

Low-cost rental vehicles

NürnbergMesse partners with Sixt to offer you inexpensive car hire.

By air

Nuremberg Albrecht Dürer Airport (NUE) offers excellent accessibility, with many direct flights to all parts of Europe and the continent’s key hubs. Intercontinental connections are available via Frankfurt and Munich with connecting flights to and from Nuremberg, by ICE train or via the Lufthansa Express Bus.


From the airport by metro

You can reach the Exhibition Center from the airport in around 25 minutes by metro (U2 to the central station, then U1 towards Langwasser Süd).

From the airport by taxi

Taxis are available directly outside the terminal. The drive to the Exhibition Center takes about 25 minutes.

Renting a car

In addition, all major car rental companies such as Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are represented at Nuremberg Airport. Dedicated stopping areas are provided at the exhibition venue for on-demand transport services.

The NürnbergConvention Center is one of the top convention centers in Europe. Its three dedicated convention facilities (NCC Mitte, NCC Ost, NCC West) and multi-functional Frankenhalle have direct access to the Exhibition Center – providing almost unlimited opportunities for events of any kind.
