Travel to Nuremberg

Welcome to Nuremberg!

The city and its whole Metropolitan Region are fast and easy to reach via the European motorway network, the rail network, and international Albrecht Dürer Airport. You can get from A to B within the city limits fast and easily too, with or without a car.

Travel by train

Nuremberg Central Station is centrally located within the European rail network. High-speed trains such as the ICE, as well as other national and international long-distance trains, connect Nuremberg with the rest of Germany and Europe. Direct ICE connections within Germany include routes to Munich, Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Hamburg.

Public transportation connections from Nuremberg Central Station to event-related facilities such as venues and hotels, as well as to the city’s sights, are quick and easy via S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, and buses. Check local transit connections online at: www.vgn.de

Since the main station is centrally located right next to the hotel on the edge of Nuremberg’s Old Town, you can also reach many destinations on foot.

Travel by Underground

You can reach the central train station from the airport in 12 minutes via line U2. From there, it takes another 8 minutes to reach the trade fair and convention centre via line U1 (stop “Messe”).

Travel by car

You can easily reach Nuremberg by car from any direction thanks to direct access to the A3, A6, A9, and A73 highways. Europe’s leading traffic and parking guidance system will show you the most efficient route, for example via well-developed access roads to the Convention Center and downtown.

Travel by air

Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg has won the Business Traveller Award on multiple occasions. It is accessible via numerous direct flights from all over Europe, including the major European hubs. Intercontinental flights can be reached via connecting flights from Nuremberg through Frankfurt and Munich airports, or by ICE train or bus.
