The city and its whole Metropolitan Region are fast and easy to reach via the European motorway network, the rail network, and international Albrecht Dürer Airport. You can get from A to B within the city limits fast and easily too, with or without a car.

Travel by train

Nuremberg Central Station is centrally connected to the European rail network and is easily accessible via high speed trains such as the ICE as well as national and international long-distance trains. Direct connections are available to Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne and Hamburg, among other destinations.

Thanks to excellent connections to the S-Bahn, subway, tram and bus systems, visitors can quickly reach hotels, event venues and attractions. Many destinations in the city center are also within easy walking distance of the main station.

Travel by car

Nuremberg is easily accessible from all directions via the A3, A6, A9 and A73 highways. Its central location in the heart of Europe allows for quick travel from the metropolitan areas of Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Leipzig and Berlin.

Europe’s leading traffic and parking guidance system ensures easy navigation and efficiently directs visitors to the Convention Center, event venues or the city center.

Travel by Air

The multi-award-winning Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg (NUE) offers numerous direct flights to European cities and major international hubs. Intercontinental destinations are easily accessible via the airports in Frankfurt and Munich.

Thanks to a direct subway connection, visitors can reach downtown as well as the trade fair and Convention Center quickly and comfortably. You can reach the central train station from the airport in 12 minutes via line U2. From there, it takes another 8 minutes to reach the trade fair and Convention Center via line U1 (stop “Messe”).

All major car rental companies are also available at the airport.
